Hi guys! In this video I get personal about My Weight Loss Journey and How I Lost 30kg as a teen. These are the tips that helped me along the way and hopefully, some of you will find them useful too! Thank you so much for watching!
*Trigger Warning
If you have/are struggling with an eating disorder or find topics like calorie counting to be a sensitive subject please do not watch the video! Your recovery and mental health is way more important!
Also, I want to make it clear that the figure on the scale is not the important part! This is different for everyone and by no means am I suggesting anyone with a similar figure should lose weight! This is purely based off of my previous and current lifestyle.

Ive been trying to lose weight since I’m 13… I’m 16 and have gained 25kgs ever since the begginning of my journey. Last quarantine I was devastated, at my heaviest weight (about 85kgs at 5″7′), and **TW (ED & self-harm)** used to punch myself and acted on agression against my gut fat and neck fat. I still have diary entries of me calling myself terrible things. I wished that I could be taken to the hospital, because the one time I had truly lost weight is when I was confined in a hospital for two weeks because my appendix exploded… I also used to see eating as something to be shameful, and used/saw exercise as a punishment
In one year, I have learnt that self-love is the most important step to weight-loss. I realised that food isnt something to be shameful about and i found exercises that I liked alot more. In the past 6 months I have only shedded 2 inches off my waist, but I’m extremely hopeful. I tried implementing more meditations to control my stress and depression. It gets better yall, but please be kind to yourselves, your body is so magical and does so much to keep you alive. Your distress over your weight might be the only thing holding your weightloss back. Good luck everyone!
I recently lost 23kg, I used to be 77kg but after 6 months of calorie deficit I dropped to 54kg and I couldn’t be happier. My relationship with my body and food is so much better, I eat whatever I want but in moderation!
I am 23 yrs and I’ve started my journey. I was 77.3 kgs on Jan 14 and today on Feb 6 I measured myself I am 72.6 kgs. I’m so proud of myself and this time I’m gonna make it.
The only 3 things I’m doing is
Calories count
Walking 15000 steps daily
Water Water Water.
My idle weight is 59 kg
I hope I can make it.
To anyone who’s reading this:
You are strong. You are beautiful. You are powerful.
Remind yourself that working out is not a punishment for what you ate, but a celebration of what your body can do!
I hope you have a fantastic day :))
Not taking pictures w your family/friends is so relatable
TIP FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO LOSE WEIGHT FAST
don’t
simply don’t
I was 15 when I started my weight loss journey, at first, I ate really clean and did Chloe Ting workouts nearly every day before school. I lost around 4 kg at the end of a couple months. Of course, I wanted quicker results, so I decided to try extreme diets such as eating 300 cal a day (literally starvation since I burned 300 per workout) I even went as long as to do water fasts, initially, I lost like 3 kg ina month so I was super happy, now thinking about it, it was probably water weight that I lost from the lack of water-dense foods and heavy exercise. Then came the holidays and I traveled with my family, that time, I was skipping dinner, and we went to one of my parent’s friends house FOR DINNER, trying to be polite I obviously ate the meal but little did I know this was going to be a massive turning point for me. With the simple thought of having ruined all my progress by having that meal, I went into a spiral of negative thoughts, I believed since I messed up once, I could mess up once more, and once more. Because of the extreme restriction of calories, I fell into disordered eating, I fell into binge eating for about a month, and then bulimia, later binge eating again. I’m trying to recover now by reading many books on the subject and going back to my mentality when I first tried to lose weight. The lesson you should take from my experience is that weight loss does not come quickly, it takes time to change how your body looks, if you are tracking your weight, weigh yourself every two weeks or every month instead of every day, trust the process. What you should really aim for is having a good lifestyle, eating more greens, less processed snacks and foods, moving more throughout the day, and weight loss will come naturally as a reward.
you can do it!
Fantastic video well done.
